So, imagine my surprise and bittersweet satisfaction when I came upon a new anti-bullying music video that was shot in the very halls of my old, Cincinnati-area school.
The culture of the 1990s was vastly different than it was today - less acceptance, less tolerance.
Being a victim of bullying has given me a few different traits. For one, I don't put too much thought into what others think of me.
I suppose it goes back to that old Dr. Seuss quote, "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind."
It gets better.
