One More Angel To Watch Over Us

It is with great sadness that I share with you word our sweet little angel Maeve has earned her wings.

My niece, Maeve, passed away Tuesday morning at approximately 11:00 AM.

My sister, Brigid, says, "She was too perfect for this world and will be missed every minute of every day. We thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers along the way and ask that you say one more prayer that Maeve is resting peacefully in heaven since she was unable to do so on earth.

"Our hearts are broken."

The visitation is Friday night and the funeral is scheduled for Saturday morning at St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Duluth, GA.

Our hearts are broken as well...much love to you and your family, Katy.

The journey with her was too short. Wings earned, it seems that Maeve was in every way an angel sent here to remind us of several things we might otherwise forget. I suspect she needed to teach us just how important it is to live fully, how to never take one day for granted, and how the seemingly smallest miracles are indeed, miracles. Through her short tale, I believe she taught each of us how to put up one heck of a fight.

May God be with you and your family.

My heart goes out to you, friends, family. It's been heartbreaking to follow along her all-too-short story.

Sweet Kate. I'm thinking of you and Brig and your entire family. Maeve was a sweet darling who fought a hard fight. I know she is in our Maker's arms now.

There aren't really any words to express the loss of a loved one especially your own child.

She is in a better place now with not only wings, but a new heart that will beat forever. Stay strong and keep your friends and family close.

Lots of love, support, and prayers for you and your family during this heartbreaking time.

Maeve will always be a sweet little "peanut" who will bring smiles to everyone's face and heart when we remember her short life.

I'm so sorry to hear such heartbreaking news. After reading that your sister was able to hold her for Mother's Day, I thought that cute little girl was going to make it. I'm really really sorry. Although I've never met you Kate, my sympathy is with you and your family. I have indeed prayed for you guys. I've followed the story of your sister being pregnant, her birth, and ultimately her struggles in the short time she was able to grace this Earth. I know your heart is breaking. My heart goes out to both you and your family. Just remember that there has to be a very very special place in Heaven for babies.
