Social Butterfly

Cincinnati has several social scenes erupting over the next few days.

There is apparently an International Beer Tasting Thursday night at The Pub in Crestview Hills, sponsored by the Covington-Kenton County Jaycees.

If you're looking for something on the North side of the river, Mulligans in Hyde Park is hosting a happy hour to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina. That event is Friday from 5:30 to 9:00. Ten bucks will get you in the door and get you ten drafts to drink.

Just a couple cool things I found while perusing my Young Professionals email.

Cheers.

Beer tasting? How far a drive is it? Should I bring Micah?

The Pub is awesome! It's owned by a friend from college's family. It's the best beer drinking place ever! We even had a mini/unofficial college reunion a couple years ago there - and low and behold - it was named as one of the best bars in Cincy according to MSN last year.

Kind of reminds me of the good old Shamrocks here in LexVegas...Ahhh yes, cold beer. Summer. Good times.

Nat! I haven't been to the KY Pub, but I've been to the one in Norwood/Hyde Park. Like the atmosphere. The crowd is a bit "older" than some other bars in town, which is good considering I haven't been 23 in years.

Spydrz, you should definitely bring Micah. I'll make sure to arrange for a designated driver for your ride home to VA...
